WATERCOLOUR PAINTING HOLIDAYS IN TUSCANY, ITALY WITH CHRISTOPHER HUGHES

High in the Tuscan hills, overlooking the beautiful Camaiora valley, we've discovered a little piece of paradise.
Peralta is a hamlet of small stone houses lovingly restored by internationally renowned sculptor Fiore de Henriquez.
Much loved by artists seeking inspiration and a peaceful place to work, Chris has chosen Peralta as a new addition to his painting holiday locations.

Suitable for all levels from absolute beginners to experienced painters, my style is relaxed and humorous. Demonstrations followed by plenty of individual attention and encouragement. A full time professional artist and tutor for over 30 years I can pass on the tricks of the trade.
With its medieval buildings covered with bougainvillea, lemon trees and jasmin, cobbled pathways and courtyards, Peralta is the ideal location for plein air painting with the added bonus of excellent indoor studio facilities.
Itinerary
Tuition demonstrations and workshops are from 10am to 1pm when we break for lunch
Afternoons are yours to relax or continue painting - I will be on site painting myself and available for advice between 2 & 3.30pm
There is a free day midweek when we can help you plan a sightseeing trip, or perhaps you prefer to relax or even paint some more.

For any non painters my wife Jane has plans for guided walks in the Tuscan hillsides, visits to a local vinyard or a nearby marble quarry, we can even learn basic Italian together.
Otherwise, Peralta is probably the best location you will ever find for just relaxing with a good book.
Whatever you decide I'm sure we will have lots to chat about when we meet for dinner over a glass of wine.

Peralta is an artists haven with its stone walls covered with purple bougainvilleas, lemon trees and jasmine. A swimming pool is superbly placed with stunning views over the Camaiore valley to the hills and sea beyond, also a large terrace in the front of Peralta, where it is lovely to sit and enjoy the scenery, the sunsets and meet other guests.
You may want to explore some of the lovely walks, through the hillsides dense with chestnut trees, to visit neighbouring hamlets.

Accommodation(allocated on arrival) is dotted around the hamlet all with lovely views, most with balconies or terraces. Each property has it's own unique charm with Tuscan tiles and beamed ceilings. All have ensuite bathrooms, and at least a fridge and tea making facilities
