'Swans in Flight'
Following in the footsteps of the great Royal Worcester artists Charles Baldwyn,
William Powell and Harry Davis, Christopher Hughes has just completed a series
of magical swan paintings on unique pieces of fine English china. These original
paintings capture the movement and majesty of swans in flight and are fired
deep into the glaze of the bone china. All gilding is in 22ct gold by the
renowned ex Royal Worcester gilder Ken Russell. The city of Worcester itself
is famous for its many swans on the river Severn beneath the famous Worcester
Cathedral.
