Combine a weekend visit to the glorious city of Worcester
on the famous river Severn and try a “Painting Day” with Christopher
Hughes, the well known Worcestershire Artist.
We are currently offering 3 dates for these painting days, as one of our popular
weekend break packages, staying in the lovely Whitehouse Hotel right in the
heart of the beautiful and historic city of Worcester

Special Accomodation package includes:-
Dinner, bed & breakfast £59 (£15 single occupancy supplement)
per person plus £60 painting tuition this includes refreshments, buffet
lunch & evening drinks reception
Additional nights can be booked at £75 twin or double and £60
single occupancy on a bed and breakfast basis
Tuition is open to non residents at a cost
of £70 including lunch and daytime refreshments
Painting materials are not provided

Chris has been a successful freelance artist since 1980 and
has taught watercolour painting in England and Greece for over 20 years.
His style of teaching is good humoured, sympathetic and easy to follow.
Painting Day Schedule
Coffee/Tea and soft drinks included
10am The painting day will begin with an introduction by Chris over morning coffee
10.30 am Demonstration of drawing and watercolour technique. After this Students
are encouraged to prepare a rough sketch, before embarking on applying paint
to paper.
This will hopefully get beginners and competent painters up and running
1.pm Buffet lunch (provided)
2pm Chris will discuss composition, subject matter, photography and the presentation of your work
3 – 5pm With everyone inspired its back to more in-depth painting and sketching
6.30 Chris and his wife Jane welcome painters (and their partners) for pre-dinner drinks and slide show of the beautiful Greek Island of Alonissos, where Chris holds painting holidays from May until October each year
7.30 Dinner Chirs and his wife Jane will join the group for dinner to round
off the day
